Now, this is something really cool — and I’m not just saying that out of my blatant, SMU bias —John Bramblitt, a Denton artist, will be hosting a “paint by touch” workshop at SMU’s Meadows Museum from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 21.
Bramblitt is blind and loves using color in his paintings to represent emotion. He even paints portraits of his service dog, Echo. That’s why service dogs from Guide Dogs of Texas will act as models at the workshop, which is designed to teach “adaptive art techniques to those with disabilities and those without.” Y’all, this sounds fun! Painting and dogs? What could be better?
Register here ahead of time for the $25 workshop.
