Haley Kristin Holmes and Paul Bradford Miller exchanged wedding vows March 16, 2013, in the outdoor garden of the Omni Mandalay Hotel in Las Colinas. Neil Moseley of University Park United Methodist Church, the bride’s former youth minister, officiated. European Ensemble Strings provided nuptial music during the ceremony. Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception of dining and dancing in the Mandalay Ballroom, with special entertainment by the 10-piece Limelight band. On the eve of the wedding, the parents of the groom hosted a rehearsal dinner at Via Real in Las Colinas, with a cocktail reception following for out-of-town guests.
The bride is the daughter of Steve Holmes of Highland Park and the Honorable Tracy Holmes of Dallas. The groom is the son of Karl and Bernadette Miller of Double Oak, Texas.
The bride chose an elaborate, ivory-lace tiered ball gown with pleated silk-organza ruffles by Lazaro from Stardust Celebrations in Plano. It featured an alencon lace bodice and sweetheart neckline. Its sheer-net, circular, ball-gown skirt, with lace accent and pleated organza tiers, was paired with a chapel-length train. A satin sash, with hand-sewn pearl beading, accented the bride’s natural waist. Her hand-embroidered cathedral-length tulle veil with lace floral appliqués, by Debra Moreland from the design house Paris, cascaded gracefully to the floor. The bride’s engraved gold bracelet was an homage to her grandparents, a family heirloom her grandfather bought for her grandmother during World War II in Hawaii, where he was stationed. The all-white, garden- style bridal bouquet she carried contained ranunculus, fringed tulips, gardenias, hydrangea, and lisianthus, wrapped in ivory satin.
The bride was presented in marriage by her parents and escorted down the aisle by her father. Assisting her as maid of honor was Amy Sarazen, her close friend from college. Bridesmaids included Jennifer Smith, sister of groom, and junior bridesmaids Paige Adams and Grace Smith, both nieces of groom.
Serving the groom as best man was his childhood friend, Matt Newton. Groomsmen included his brothers-in-law Brian Smith and Fraser Holmes.
The bride is a graduate of Highland Park High School. She attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta. Haley is a mortgage loan processor for R. H. Lending.
The groom is a graduate of Marcus High School in Flower Mound. He attended the University of North Texas and is a loan officer for Highlands Residential Mortgage.
Following their wedding trip to the One and Only Ocean Club in Paradise Island, Bahamas, the newlyweds have made their home in Lewisville.
