SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: MAYBE KNOCK NEXT TIME

Before 9:48 p.m. Sept 18., a scoundrel threw a stone hard enough to damage the window of an 86-year-old woman’s home in the 7200 block of Meadow Road.

16 Monday

Before 12:44 p.m., a motorist drove off after hitting a Frisco woman’s vehicle at Preston Oaks Shopping Center.

Before 5:02 p.m., a would-be burglar damaged a Dallas woman’s vehicle at the Lovers Lane Shopping Center at Lovers and Inwood Road.

17 Tuesday

Officials with Crescent Estates Custom Homes don’t know how a thief entered one of the company’s houses in the 10700 block of Bridge Hollow Court and left it even more vacant than before 1:55 p.m.

Before 8:42 p.m., a thief took at Highland Park woman’s vehicle from NorthPark Center.

18 Wednesday

The burglar who forced entry into a home in the 4700 block of Mill Creek Road before 4:52 p.m. may also have taken something.

Before 5:38 p.m., the driver involved in a wreck with a 20-year-old Dallas man’s vehicle in the 4200 block of Royal Lane just drove away.

Arrested at 6:40 p.m.: a 25-year-old woman and 27-year-old man accused of shoplifting from Macy’s at NorthPark Center. Police also found marijuana.

19 Thursday

Police didn’t provide the reporting time for a theft from a Dallas woman at her home in the 5700 block of Overdowns Drive.

20 Friday

Carelessness or vandalism? Either way the person who damaged AT&T property in the right-of-way along 5100 block of Royal Lane before 12:23 p.m. didn’t stick around to take credit.

Arrested at 12:28 p.m.: a 29-year-old man accused of returning to NorthPark Center after being told not to come back.

Before 10:47 p.m., a burglar, who smashed the window of a Dallas man’s vehicle parked at Preston Oaks Shopping Center, wasn’t done. After grabbing the contents, the crook did more damage to the vehicle.

21 Saturday

Arrested at 12:57 a.m.: a 23-year-old man accused of public drunkenness in the 3900 block of West Northwest Highway.

Police did not provide the reporting time of shoplifting at Sephora in Preston Royal Village.

No shopping for you. At 11:26 a.m., a ruffian accused of punching a 48-year-old woman in the stomach was warned to never return to NorthPark Center.

Stolen at 7:38 p.m.: a vehicle at NorthPark Center.

How drunk was a 36-year-old woman accused of public intoxication at 6:51 p.m.? Police described her as a danger to herself and others in the 5400 block of Woodfin Drive.

At 11:19 p.m., a person described as disorderly at NorthPark Center received a criminal trespassing warning.

22 Sunday

Arrested at 3:39 a.m.: a 27-year-old man accused of having .3 grams of crystal meth at the scene of a wreck in the 6600 block of Forest Lane.

Reported at 8:33 a.m.: gun-weilding robbers knocked on the door before forcing their way in to a 50-year-old man’s apartment in the 3900 block of Inwood Road.

Before 8:34 a.m., a burglar forced open a vehicle at apartments in the 6800 block of Bandera Avenue and took the contents.

Before 8:49 a.m., a burglar smashed a window to get at the contents of a vehicle at apartments in the 8600 block of Preston Road. Property also was removed from the complex’s business office.

At 3:28 p.m., a Dallas woman finally got around to reporting a Sept. 17 hit-and-run wreck that damaged her vehicle in the 8600 block of Edgemere Lane.
