Greenhill Girls Defend 6-Mile Crown

Greenhill defended its turf — about 13 miles from campus — by winning the 4A-3A girls division for the second consecutive year at the 35th annual Six-Mile Relay on Saturday at Norbuck Park.

The Hornets hosted the race for teams of four athletes, each running 1.5 miles in a relay format. Greenhill’s quartet of Maddie Hatfield, Kendall Hashimoto, Mia Ness, and Kaiti Ness, crossed the finish line in 35 minutes, 59 seconds — more than 90 seconds faster than runner-up Decatur.

In the boys race, St. Mark’s placed third (behind Decatur and Sanger) with its group consisting of Pablo Arroyo, Bryce Nivet, Fisayo Omonije, and Julian Ivarra.
