Crime Reports July 29 – August 4

SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: SKIMMING THE SURFACE

Reported at 8:13 p.m. on July 31: A rogue snuck into a backyard in the 11000 block of Lawn Haven Road on July 29 and stole some pool equipment. No word on whether the thief took a quick dip before leaving.

 

DALLAS

29 Monday

The time was not listed for a theft an Oklahoma woman reported at NorthPark Center.

A criminal trespassing warning was issued at NorthPark Center at 2:21 p.m.

30 Tuesday

The reporting time was not listed for a theft at the Forestwood Shopping Center at Forest Lane and Inwood Road. 

Arrested at 5:16 p.m.: a 31-year-old woman accused of driving under the influence of alcohol in the 4700 block of Lyndon B. Johnson.

31 Wednesday

An employee of Mattress Factory Outlet and Happy Corner reported a theft at NorthPark Center. The reporting time was not provided.

The reporting time was not listed for a shoplifting incident at Sephora in Preston Royal Village.

Before at 11:01 a.m., a burglar shattered a window and stole property from a Pine Cove Ministry vehicle parked at NorthPark Center.

Arrested at 3:26 p.m.: a 32-year-old woman accused of attempting to cash a fake check at Amegy Bank of Texas on Northwest Highway.

Reported at 5:31 p.m.: A 65-year-old man was pushed in an “offending manner” in the 9900 block of Inwood Road.

Damaged during a burglar attempt at 8:34 p.m.: the rear passenger-side door of a vehicle at a home in the 4300 block of Colgate Avenue. 

1 Thursday

The reporting time was not listed for a theft from Twisted Javies Philly Pretzels on Lovers Lane. 

A burglary before 8:39 a.m. left a a vehicle at the Semones Family YMCA on Northaven Road with a shattered window.

Reported at 4:50 p.m.: A home was burglarized in the 4300 block of Hallmark Lane on July 31.

Arrested at 6:52 p.m.: a 25-year-old man accused of shoplifting from the Apple store at NorthPark Center.

2 Friday

Reported at 7:59 a.m.: One or more burglars forced open the back door at Dunston’s Steak House on Lovers Lane on Aug. 1 and took property.

A vehicle was stolen  before 8:59 a.m. from a home the 12500 block of Sunlight Drive. 

Reported at 3:10 p.m.: the burglary of a vehicle parked at NorthPark Center.

Reported at 3:26 p.m. from the parking lot of PetSmart on Inwood Road: the theft of a vehicle and an attached trailer loaded with equipment.

Reported at 5:36 p.m.: A vehicle belonging to U Save Car and Truck Rental was stolen from parking lot of Loupe Jewelry and Watch Repair on Lovers Lane.

Property was damaged at a home in the 4500 block of Harrys Lane before 6:31 p.m.

3 Saturday

The reporting time was not provided for a theft in the Market at Preston Forest. A 73-year-old Dallas woman reported the incident three days later.

The lock was cut at a model home belonging to Barringer Homes in the 5000 block of Shadywood Lane and property was stolen from inside.

Whether or not a 55-year-old man was in trouble before he went to Victoria’s Secret at NorthPark Center, he certainly was afterward. Police arrested him at 1:36 p.m. on shoplifting accusations.

Arrested at 7:42 p.m.: a 44-year-old man accused of stealing from Macy’s at NorthPark Center.

4 Sunday 

Burglarized before 7:07 p.m: a vehicle parked at Preston Center.

Reported at 7:41 p.m.: A vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of NorthPark Center.
