WTW Standout Signs With Lions

Marcus McClanahan did a little bit of everything for W.T. White on the football field this season — whether on offense, defense, or special teams.

Those efforts paid off with a chance to play football at Texas A&M-Commerce, an NCAA Division II school. McClanahan signed with the Lions on Wednesday.

In 2018, the 5-foot-7 senior rushed for 969 yards, passed for another 661 yards, and even caught a touchdown pass. He’s currently one of the leading scorers for the WTW basketball team.

Also on Wednesday, Hillcrest receiver Christian Evans signed with Division II New Mexico Highlands. Evans accumulated 430 receiving yards and a team-high five touchdowns for the Panthers last season.
