Lady Scots Clinch Another 15-5A Crown

Defending Class 5A state champion Highland Park wrapped up another District 15-5A title on Friday with a dominating 10-0 win over Forney.

The Lady Scots (19-0-1, 12-0) have outscored their district opponents by a combined 68-4 over 12 games. That includes a 24-0 margin over the past three outings.

Seven different HP players scores against Forney, led by a hat trick from Presley Echols and two goals by Frances Ann Matise. Other goal-scorers for the Lady Scots included Rachel Wasserman, Sarah O’Neal, Halley Ray, Kathryn Franks, and Ellen Wolfe.

HP will conclude regular-season play with a game at Royse City on March 20, followed by the home finale on March 23 against Wylie East.
