Fall might be a month away, but fall tennis season gets underway this weekend for Highland Park, with the Scots hosting a tournament in conjunction with Plano West. Matches will begin at 8 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, and will offer a rare opportunity to see HP at home during the fall team schedule.

The District 15-5A slate begins on Tuesday with a home match against Lovejoy, but eight of the other 10 matches will be on the road, including nondistrict matchups against Southlake Carroll (Sept. 9), Allen (Sept. 23), Grapevine (Sept. 24), and Plano West (Sept. 30).

District matches include trips to North Forney (Aug. 30) and West Mesquite (Sept. 6) followed by a home match against Mesquite Poteet (Sept. 13). The Scots will then play at Forney (Sept. 20) and Wylie East (Oct. 4) before postseason play.
