From Black-eyed Pea to Street’s Fine Chicken

The family who brought you the Black-Eyed Pea in 1975 is at it again. While the restaurant, known for its fried chicken cuisine, closed its flagship location on Cedar Springs Road earlier this year, the family is ready to fill the empty space in May.

Street’s Fine Chicken, the family’s newest fried chicken restaurant concept, will open in the same location sometime in May. The restaurant will feature a variety of traditional dishes in its elevated, southern, chicken menu.

The interior of the restaurant will reflect owner Marco Street’s artistic flavor with a mural painted by students from his alma mater, Booker T. Washington.

Stay tuned for a review in the July issue of Park Cities People.
