With new turf in place this season, Highland Park will show off its baseball field this weekend at the annual Scotland Yard Classic.

The Scots will play five games during three days as part of the round-robin event, beginning with their home opener at 11 a.m. Thursday against Sachse.

Also during the tournament, HP will host Midland (6:30 p.m. Thursday), Belton (11 a.m. Friday), Denton Guyer (6:30 p.m. Friday), and Lovejoy (3 p.m. Saturday).

Coppell and Prosper also will host games as part of the event, with other teams in the field including Jesuit, Richland, Rockwall, and The Woodlands.

HP enters the tournament with momentum after winning four of six games last weekend at the Collin County Invitational tournament in McKinney. The Scots (6-5) topped Byron Nelson, Fayetteville (Ark.), Little Elm, and Frisco Centennial. They lost to Porter and Frisco.

Following the tournament, the Scots will open District 10-6A play on March 15 when they host North Mesquite.
