Police Report: Jan. 18 to 21

SMASH AND GRAB BURGLARS GO CUCKOO FOR COCO (CHANEL)

Between 7:29 and 10:45 a.m. on Jan. 18, seven lawbreakers broke into the Chanel store at Highland Park Village. The horde stole a pair of $1,400 women’s shoes and 45 handbags, valued between $2,000 and $15,000. Antonio Maurice Cobb Jr., 34; Charles Brown, 18, of Chicago; Lamario Lamate Peel, 21, of Chicago; Jesse Foster, 23, of Chicago; Jake Tesean Adams, 20, of Chicago; and two juveniles were arrested on the charges of burglary in the 4400 block of Potomac Avenue, the 4400 block of Normandy Avenue, and Germany Park. HIGHLAND PARK

18 MONDAY

At 4:49 a.m., Eduardo Lopez-Teran, 32, was arrested on the charge of driving while intoxicated in the 5000 block of Airline Road.

Between 6 p.m. on Jan. 17 and 8 p.m. on Jan. 18, a vandal damaged a white 1999 Ford truck in the 4500 block of Fairway Avenue.

19 TUESDAY

At 11:34 p.m., Luis David Salguero Fraire, 22, of Dallas was arrested on the charge of public intoxication in the 4500 block of Abbott Avenue.

20 WEDNESDAY

Between 6:40 and 7 a.m., a thief stole a street sweeper, valued at $750, from a valet parking area in the 6400 block of North Central Expressway.

At 11:13 a.m., an employee of Jos A. Bank in the 4200 block of Oak Lawn Avenue reported six men’s suits, valued at $4,200, missing.

21 THURSDAY

Between 5:46 and 5:53 p.m., thieves stole three purses, for a total of $6,930, from Yves Saint Lauren in Highland Park Village.

UNIVERSITY PARK

18 MONDAY

At 8:15 a.m., a burglar stole a $400 Felt boys bike and a $35,000 white 2014 Lexus 350 that was being warmed from a residence in the 4300 block of Emerson Avenue.

Between 8 a.m. on Dec. 1 and 5 p.m. on Jan. 18, a burglar broke into an office in the 6400 block of North Central Expressway and stole $500 in property.

19 TUESDAY

Between noon and 1 p.m., a thief stole a $400 Swagway hoverboard from the 4500 block of Stanhope Drive.

20 WEDNESDAY

Between 9 p.m. on Jan. 19 and 10 a.m. on Jan. 20, a burglar broke into a black 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe in the 3400 block of Marquette Street and stole the third-row seat.

21 THURSDAY

At 2:17 a.m., Elizabeth Grace Zales, 19, was arrested on a charge of public intoxication in the 2800 block of Fondren Drive.
