In December, we told you about Celebrity Bakery’s new CEO Brian Livingston. Now, after eight months in that position, he and his wife, Brittany, are the official owners as well.

After overhauling the brand to bring back a tradition of freshness, the Livingstons are planning a few changes. One is to move the Highland Park Village location to the Shops of Highland Park, just more than a mile down the road.

“We have been in Highland Park since 1989 and have strong relationships with the surrounding community and we couldn’t be more thankful to our loyal customers,” Livingston said. “Our customers’ loyalty has kept us a popular destination for almost 27 years and created the opportunity for us to move to a bigger location in order to better serve our customers.”

However, the Village location will stay open through early 2016. The bakery will offer a full menu through the end of 2015 and then transfer to signature bakery items and beverages leading up to the move. The Shops at Highland Park location is scheduled to open by early November 2016.

“For 29 years, Celebrity Bakery has been a fixture at Highland Park Village,” said Ray Washburne, managing partner at Highland Park Village. “While we are sad to see our longstanding partners go, we are thrilled that Celebrity Bakery is able to secure more space and continue to develop their thriving business. We wish the team continued success in their new location.”

The Livingstons also plan to have between seven and 10 locations total within the next three years. Specifically, they are looking at adding locations in Plano and Uptown in 2016.

Yet another tenant moves out of HPV. Well, I hope HPV ownership has the good sense to keep services like the UPS Store in HPV. If that store is ever forced out due to exorbitant rent etc., I will likely never set foot in HPV again.
