TCA Students Honored For Reading Skills

Even to a journalist, 1 million words seems like a lot. So it’s noteworthy when 66 students in grades 2-4 at Trinity Christian Academy were recognized during the final week of school for completing more than 1 million words of independent reading.

Their award was a replica $1 million bill with each student’s face printed in the center. The school implemented the program, part of a national project known as the Million Words Campaign, to enhance reading skills in younger students.
