The Highland Park girls soccer team has cleared the first playoff hurdle in its inaugural season in Class 6A.

The Lady Scots easily dispatched Skyline 4-0 on Thursday in a Region II bi-district game to remain undefeated this season.

They will face Rockwall on April 2 at a time and site to be determined. The Lady Jackets shut out Harker Heights 2-0 on Thursday in their bi-district tilt.

Kate Summers scored two goals, including one on a penalty kick, to lead the HP attack. Savanna Jones and Sarah O’Neal each added goals for the Lady Scots (20-0-2), who held the Lady Raiders (10-7-3) in check throughout.

Earlier this week, HP wrapped up an unbeaten run through District 10-6A with a 4-2 win at Mesquite on Monday. Jones scored twice, with O’Neal and Rachel Wasserman adding goals. And on Saturday, O’Neal and Summers each tallied goals as the Lady Scots topped Mesquite Horn 2-0.
