Winston Science Receives Donations

Thanks to Lyda Hill, The Stephen M. Seay Foundation, and Winston School parent Sharron Hunt, the science department at The Winston School is receiving donations totaling $95,000.

Hill’s $60,000 donation will be used to purchase all the supplies necessary in science classrooms, and the Seay Foundation’s $25,000 donation will create two new science labs.

Hunt donated $10,000 to create a learning partnership between The Winston School and The Perot Museum. Through this partnership, The Perot Museum will bring demonstrations and other learning tools to the school. They will also assist with the school’s annual science competition.
