Park Cities native Sarah Pickard continues to rack up the interior design awards, most recently earning her fourth Renovation of the Year award in the hotel industry.

The honor form Intercontinental Hotels Group came for her design of the $8 million overhaul to the Holiday Inn Park Cities, located just north of Mockingbird Station.

“My team and I were able to completely revitalize the hotel from top to bottom by improving the layout and design scheme,” Pickard said. “Breaking from the traditional design of Holiday Inn properties, we went with a modern and contemporary finish while embracing the space’s need for functionality. We also included local design elements that make the hotel feel right at home in Dallas.”

Pickard’s company, Pickard Design Studio, updated all 292 rooms in the hotel, as well as meeting rooms, common spaces, and the lobby to include a restaurant and bar. The property was called the Radisson Hotel Dallas Park Cities until a rebranding in 2012.

Pickard Design Studio previously won the same award for redesigns of the Holiday Inn Express in Plano in 2012, the Crowne Plaza West End in Dallas in 2012, and the Hotel Indigo New Orleans Garden District in 2013.
