Jesuit’s Feehery Wins State Swimming Title

Jesuit junior Brendan Feehery won a Class 6A state title in the 200-yard individual medley at the state swimming meet on Saturday in Austin.

Feehery swam a time of 1 minute, 47.6 seconds in the finals to defeat runner-up Mason Tenney of Lake Travis by almost a half-second and become just the second Jesuit swimmer to win a UIL state title, joining former standout Matt Thompson. Feehery also finished fourth in the 100 breaststroke.

Also for Jesuit, Nolan Daniels was seventh in the 50 freestyle. Feehery and Daniels teamed with John Ayres and Aedan Quinn to take third in the 200 free relay. The Rangers were fifth in the team standings.
