Art Ball chairman and Park Cities resident Nancy Carlson, along with the Dallas Museum of Art’s Eugene McDermott director Max Anderson, announced April 11 as the official date for the 2015 Art Ball. It will be the event’s 50th anniversary.

This year’s theme is “self portrait.” Past chairs will make up the host committee.

Proceeds will go toward the DMA’s ongoing collections and exhibitions, as well as educational and public programming.

“The story of Art Ball is really the story of the museum, as it has grown to national prominence over the last 50 years,” Carlson said. “I wanted this year’s theme to be related to art and reflection, looking back at the past 50 years and forward to a very bright future.”
