Highland Park’s run through the Class 6A Region II volleyball playoffs continues tonight with a regional quarterfinal matchup against Waco Midway.

The match begins at 7 p.m. at Red Oak, with the winner earning a spot in the regional tournament beginning Friday in Huntsville.

The Lady Scots (30-15) swept Sachse in the area round last week after a four-set win over Irving MacArthur in the bi-district round. The Pantherettes (37-8), who won the District 12-6A regular-season title, have posted three-set victories over Garland Naaman Forest and Lake Highlands so far.

For those who might not remember, these two teams have a playoff history. Midway eliminated HP in the same round in both 2006 and 2007.
