Vision Africa is based in Dallas, and will hold its annual banquet at 6 p.m. Thursday in Elliott Hall at Highland Park Presbyterian Church, where the keynote speaker will be Katie Taylor, deputy assistant administrator for the Bureau of Global Health at the United States Agency for International Development. She will discuss U.S. government efforts to curtail child and maternal deaths in Africa, as well as other issues in the region.

The program is free and open to the public, but reservations are required. For more information, go here or call 214-828-9232.
