Highland Park residents Lynn and Allan McBee were elected Dallas Historical Society co-chairs at the organization’s annual meeting earlier this month. Fellow Parkies Pierce Allman and Wilson Fuqua were among the newly elected trustees, as well as former Dallas city manager Mary Suhm.

“We are very pleased to have such outstanding civic and community leaders to become trustees of the Dallas Historical Society,” Lynn McBee said in a statement. “All are known throughout the area for their interest in historical issues and their leadership skills. With these new folks joining our outstanding board, we can expect an exciting year.”

The Dallas Historical Society was founded in 1922 and is housed in the Hall of State in Fair Park.
