Most of us are old enough to remember the days when high school hockey was just getting started in Texas. Now, the talent level has grown and the sport has sustained itself to the point where some schools are having alumni games.

Case in point: Highland Park held its sixth annual Alumni Hockey Classic on Dec. 21 in Richardson, featuring 21 former Scots competing both with and against current players in an exhibition.

The format had players from the Class of 2013 teaming with current HP players, against a squad of older alumni, who won the game 10-6.

Among the top alumni goal-scorers were Stephen Callaghan, Michael Crow, Nolan Baade, Hunt Woodruff, Bryan Lawrence, Hillis Emanuelson, Trevor Sullivan, Aidan Schorsch, and Grant Kreeger.

Other former Scots who returned for the occasion included Rob Henry, Kevin Bell, Bryan Henderson, Blake Lawrence, Crockett Burr, Brooks Kelley, Josh Coughennower, Will Pettee, James Emanuelson, Bradford Burr, and Craig Johnson.
