Free Film Festival Screening Thoroughly Patriotic
Last month I was giddy about the Highland Park Film Festival’s screening Lawrence of Arabia at the Highland Park Village. Tonight’s picture has me humming and whistling the tunes of the legendary George M. Cohan.
Yankee Doodle Dandy stars James Cagney tapping, twirling, and singing his way through Cohan’s legendary life and career. If you’re lacking Fourth of July spirit, this is sure to get you in the mood.
The show starts at 7 p.m. and is free, a fact I didn’t know when I showed up for Lawrence of Arabia. If you can’t make it tonight, there’s a whole line up of great films to come which you can check out here. Happy watching!
