SMU Family Day Kicks Off Saturday

Kids of all interests will have plenty to do Saturday at SMU Family Day.

For those with sporty interests, head over to Pettus Practice Field for Mustang Fan Fair. See a Mustang football practice and meet current players, Coach June Jones, and former ‘stangs in the NFL. Kids from age six through eighth grade can test their skills in the NFL Punt, Pass, and Kick competition.

For those with an artsier disposition, Meadows Museum will have a scavenger hunt through the “Impressions of Europe” exhibit. Search for European landmarks, craft a masterpiece of your own, learn a few phrases of Italian, savor some gelato, or make a Venetian mask. Food truck will be onsite to fuel your artistic self.

Parking for both events is free (high five!) in the Meadows Museum garage. Mustang Fan Fair runs from 9 a.m. to noon, while the museum open house is available 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Enjoy!
