Devon Elizabeth Myers and Taylor Blake Liedtke were united in marriage Nov. 10, 2012, at T Bar J Ranch in Sunnyvale, Texas. The ceremony was officiated by Dr. Blair Monie, pastor of Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church. Following the sunset ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception of dining and dancing in the picturesque setting of the groom’s family ranch. Music was provided by Cuvee. On the eve of the wedding, the parents of the groom hosted a festive rehearsal dinner at Arlington Hall in Lee Park. Also on Friday, a luncheon honoring the bride and her attendants was hosted by the bride’s family at the Dallas Country Club.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Allen Myers of Dallas. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Harold Myers of Mount Carroll, Ill., and Mrs. Elizabeth Gabel Bruce and the late Mr. Robert Bruce Jr., formerly of Lattingtown Harbor, N.Y.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Blake Tenille Liedtke of Houston. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Hugh Liedtke of Houston and Mr. and Mrs. Tavenner Cornelius Lupton of Highland Park.

Presented in marriage by her parents, the bride was escorted down the aisle on the arm of her father. The bride chose a timeless couture gown by designer Monique Lhuillier. The strapless gown featured a lovely draped bodice, and hand-bustled trumpet skirt that highlighted the unique silk jacquard fabric. The gown was enhanced with a double-faced satin sash in a lovely cameo color; the richness of the satin giving just the perfect amount of sheen and contrast to the fabric of the gown. To complete her look, the bride selected a cathedral-length veil by the design house Paris by Debra Moreland, which was accented by a vintage hair comb. Lynn Wilson of Houston designed the bride’s engagement and wedding rings. She carried a lush garden-style bouquet of antique roses, hydrangeas, dusty millers, and succulent blooms laced with cameo ribbon with a sentimental “something old” jeweled brooch, which was previously owned by her maternal grandmother.

Attending as maids of honor were Lauren Elizabeth Brundage, Kristen Kelly Mayo, and Lauren Leigh Seifert. Her bridesmaids included Kaitlyn Bailey Dunne, Paige Clark Hardison, Alissa Lee Ireland, Lacey Lupton Liedtke, Mary Michelle McAdam, Leigh Holland Myers, and Caitlin Morgan O’Leary. The flower girls were Hunter Lupton Wesley Huckin and Weslyn Grace Huckin.

Serving the groom as best men were Blake Tenille Liedtke Jr., Myron Geer Blalock IV, and Adam Freeman Spalding. His groomsmen included Steven Crews LeBlanc, Pearson Edward Montgomery, Christopher Taylor Myers, William Cooley Richardson, Matthew Paul Rongey, Brian Christopher Shelfer, and David Brownell Wheless Jr. Ushers were Ross Windsor Brunner, Harrison Reid Fontaine, Robert Harris Heiser III, and Phillip Wayne Thompson. Ring bearers were Owen Joseph Myers and Tucker Stephen Myers.

The bride is a graduate of Highland Park High School. She received her Bachelor of Science in accounting and a Master of Science in accounting from Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business, where she was also a member of Kappa Alpha Theta. Devon is a CPA working in accounting at LINN Energy in Houston.

The groom is a graduate of the Kinkaid School in Houston. He received his Bachelor of Science in business administration from Louisiana State University, where he was a member of Kappa Alpha. He received a MBA with a focus in finance and accounting from Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business. Taylor is an energy consultant with Whiteside Capital Partners in Houston.
