Dallas: Where Someone’s Always Watching You

Back in March, I wrote that the city of Dallas was looking to install 300 more cameras around the city, hoping to monitor trouble spots. The city’s got 115 cameras now, for what it’s worth.

Turns out, we’re already one of the most-watched cities. In an upcoming issue of Men’s Health, the magazine ranked the most-watched cities in America. Washington, DC topped the list, but Dallas slid in at number six.

It took into account traffic, red light, and police cameras, then factored in government-approved wiretaps. We’re hurtling towards 1984, one often-run intersection at a time.
