McKinney Ave. Trolley Hit by Truck
The McKinney Avenue Trolley was hit by a truck today around 2:30 p.m. this afternoon at the corner of Woodall Rodgers and St. Paul. No one was hurt, but the trolley took a pretty good beating.
As a passenger onboard the trolley, it was surreal to see the front windows near the conductor being broken in by a huge truck trying to turn right as the trolley was going straight ahead. All 6 of us onboard exited the trolley and walked to our destination.
We hope the line will be back up and moving before the end of the evening. Some of us at People Newspapers have to take that home!
