Park Cities Institute Voluntary Water Restrictions

Park Cities residents are being asked to reduce their water intake, in an effort to combat drought conditions statewide.

Dallas County Park Cities Municipal Utilities District — which supplies the water for both Highland and University Park — has initiated Stage 1 of its Drought Contingency Plan, which encourages residents to reduce their automatic lawn waterings to twice weekly. Handheld watering with a can, hose or soaker hose is permitted at all times.

The district still maintains an adequate water supply in Grapevine Lake, but is hoping the restrictions will protect the supply throughout the winter, according to a statement on University Park’s website.

Just get Jerry Jones & Crow estates to quit their excessive watering and overall consumption will drop.
