SMU Lands 4-Star Recruit
Gabriel Marks, a 4-star wide receiver from Los Angeles, has decided to make the Hilltop his home for the next four years.
The 6′, 175 pounder made the decision Thursday after speaking with SMU recruiting guru Adrian Klemm.
“They were giving me the best offer, so it was the best fit for me,” Marks said, according to Bleacher Report. “I definitely will get a lot of chances to catch the ball and make a lot of plays and be one of their receivers in the offense so it’s a good fit for me.”
According to Rivals.com, Marks is the 25th-ranked wide receiver prospect in the class of 2012; he also received offers from Cal, Boston College, UCLA, and Utah.
That sounds like a pretty solid pick-up, although I don’t like the sound of “they were giving me the best offer.” Hopefully that doesn’t imply cash, cars, or girls.
