Locals Raise Funds For Houston Family

A car crash that killed the parents of several young Houston children (two of whom are now paralyzed) recently made national news. Robin and Joshua Berry had close friends in Preston Hollow, and those who knew the family — and many who didn’t — are mobilizing, with two fundraisers planned for this week.

The event rundown:

1. Drop by Purple Cow in Preston Royal Village from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday, say you’re there for Berry Family Night, and 15 percent of your bill will go a fund for the siblings’ medical bills and other needs.

2. Bring your brood to Kidville from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday for kids’ yoga, baked goods, and a lemonade sale benefiting the Berry children.

You can also make a direct donation via Paypal (the Joshua and Robin Berry Children’s Trust).

We’ll have more information in this week’s issue of Preston Hollow People. In the meantime, visit the Joshua and Robin Berry Children’s Fund Facebook page; It’s growing fast, and full of updates and photos.
