Early start for sure. He got up easy enough today, it won’t last. A few full school days, thru crew practice (4:14p-6:15 M-Th, 7:00am-9:00am Sat) and it will take an airhorn to blast him out of bed.

I bow to mk, hair straightening before the sun comes up sounds like pure hell.

Dodging all the speeding cars on Purdue, Amherst and Stanford (where there should be 20-mph school zones)and then getting stuck behind all the zombie moms talking on their cell phones and going 15 mph on Hillcrest.

the heat and humidity while walking with them to three different schools. For mk’s sake, let’s hope it didn’t frizz her daughter’s hair.

Is that still the look of choice? Stick straight long hair?

Follow up on hair straightening at dawn. To kmom: it was indeed a beat-down, but a wad of Nicorette gum took the edge off. Kind of. To Sharpay: no frizz, no freakout about the heat. I, on the other hand, with my menopausal thermostat in the danger zone already, experienced heat-related rage/bitterness within seconds of leaving my house. To jgo: yes, stick-straight long hair has been the bomb diggity at HPISD since about 1967. I don’t foresee a paradigm shift in the near future, either.

I also bow down to Sharpay, and all other mom’s who have kids at 3 schools. Just sounds like a beating, queue lane to queue lane to queue lane…….
