Highland Park Sweeps 10-4A Meet
The Highland Park track and field teams swept last week’s District 10-4A Championships in Royse City.
The Scots repeated as district champions by tallying 169.3 points, while the Lady Scots also made it two straight district titles by edging second-place Newman Smith, 134-128. Rockwall was the boys runner-up with 99.3 points.
HP will have 25 spots in the Class 4A Region II finals May 3-4 at Fouts Field in Denton. The Scots and Lady Scots combined to win 10 events at district. The top two finishers in each event at regionals qualify for state.
