Tempest Storms Back Into Art World

You may know Tempest Thompson as the receptionist at Highland Park Town Hall. I know her as a former classmate at the Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts.

Tempest’s artsy side will be on display Saturday night at Sons of Hermann Hall, where one of her paintings will be featured in the “Rock ’n’ Roll Circus” extravaganza celebrating the sixth anniversary of the Lollipop Shoppe.

You can read more about the party in this week’s issue of Quick. Or in our sister paper Oak Cliff People, if you find yourself on the other side of the Trinity.
